SUMMER SWIM TEAM
The Greenview Dolphins summer swim team will be participating in the Columbia Swim League. Our goal is to teach all swimmers the proper stroke techniques in an environment where children are encouraged, engaged, and inspired. All children ages 4 to 18 are invited to join the Greenview Dolphins summer swim team. Registration fees for the 2022 season will be $135 for each team member. This registration fee includes the $25 participant fee that each team member is required to pay the City of Columbia.
The deadline to register is May 25th at 9pm. However, the team is capped at 80 members and registration will be closed if that number is achieved before the deadline. Practice will begin on Tuesday, May 17th at 6pm at the Greenview Park pool located at 6700 David Street, Columbia, SC, 29203. There will be team volunteers on site that day to help register children. In order to participate in practice, all waivers must be signed and fees paid.
The swim team will start competing in swim meets on June 2nd. In order for your child to be able to participate in the swim meet he/she must be able to swim the freestyle stroke for at least an entire lap of the pool. Your child does not have to participate in the swim meet if he/she chooses not to compete.
The Columbia Swim League City Meet Championship will be held on July 9th and 10th at the Solomon Blatt PE Center Natatorium located on the University of South Carolina campus. If your child will be unable to compete in this event, please let the Coaching staff know before June 9th.

“A” meets are scored meets. The points our team earns at each “A” meet, and at City Meet, go towards our season total and ranking with the Columbia Swim League. At these meets, each team can enter three swimmers per individual event. Every effort will be made to enter ALL swimmers in at least one individual event at an “A” meet unless your child does not want to participate.
